Ah...Im back in Manila after 3 months of being away. Saigon hasnt been fun for the past month..mainly because most of my friends have left. Well..such is expat life and by now, Ive learned to accept that....so I shouldt really be whining about it.
Now that Im back in Manila....it actually feels weird.
Life in Saigon may be summed up in 3 places: my home, the gym, and David's school.
My social life may also be summed up in 3 groups: my family, my girlfriends, and Andy's colleagues
So now that Im back home...everything just seems chaotic and manic.
Add to that the terrible, terrible weather. A heatwave in America sounds acceptable but a heatwave in a tropical country like the Philippines is just downright nasty. It's like adding an exclamation point to a sentence typewritten in all caps. Or wearing red on Valentine's day. Or seeing Kris Aquino from morning 'til night every single frickin day.
It's just not right.
The good news is..David's done with his surgery..so now, I can go back into the swing of things. The swing of things sounds so hip, and eventful but the truth is, Im just going to see a bunch of relatives and a couple of friends who I have not called since I arrived. I have been admittedly, hermit-like the past few weeks...blame it on my boring Saigon life , blame it on my being paranoid about David's surgery, and lastly, blame it on the heat.
Yeah, yeah, yeah....it's always the damn heat.

A most likely excuse, dear sis! =)
Glad The David's back in the pink. Heard about the fangled diet that really a no-complaint in my book. D and I prayed for the little guy.
We're also extremely happy that you're back, although we know it's farkin' short.
See you later! =)
I am not seeing you later. Your later is my "now"..and obviously Iam not where Im supposed to be. haha..labo ko.
Nah..decided to skip the shindig and stayed behind dito sa Tagaytay. David needs to rest and I do too. Andy's coming later from Vn and I am not about to say no to a possible earthquake.
Apologies..dried up prunes tend to think out loud, haha.
Good deciision, Leeney. David needs to rest.
By this time, my "now," Andy should be there. Say "Hi" for me.
Oooh, do be careful with the dried-up prune bit. Ouchie! =)
Is Saigon an exciting place? Modern na ba sha?
HI candishhh (did I get h's right/!)! You're from the forum, right?
Yeah..Saigon is pretty modern. Not Manila-Modern..more like, 70's Manila-Modern. But it has its own charm that can only be seen in young, developing cities like Saigon. Ika nga...ang analogy dun eh..parang dalagang naive na babae na kunyari wla pang sungay. I'll post some pics later on just to give you an idea. Oh, and thanks for passing by my blog!
